The Trails Are Calling — Are You Ready?
The snow has melted, the dirt is dry, and our trusty steeds are whispering our names from their winter storage locations—the 2025 mountain biking season is here!
2024: A Year of Growth and Momentum
Volunteer-powered trail upgrades across the province.
MMBA board growth - Welcome to Mike Paré, David Lane, and Adam Moore!
Successful fundraising - Our association can finally cover its own overhead costs thanks to fundraising, allowing us to focus on the real work!
Birds Hill Progress - For the first time in a couple of years, our board has been in a situation to make positive progress with sanctioning Nimowin Pits!
Community Support - Our database has grown allowing us to successfully provide mentorship and connections for various aspiring trail stewards.
Thanks to your support, the MMBA community continues to grow stronger every year.
2024 Trail Development & Stewardship
Major trail upgrades around the province not associated to MMBA:
New MTB park in Portage La Prairie.
Upgrades at Oak Hollow (Virden), Squirrel Hills (Minnedosa), Neepawa, Asessippi, Grand Beach, and Reuben's Ridge.
We’re committed to partnering with groups to promote their success around our home province.
Education & Advocacy
We believe in data collection for trail advocacy, continued trail development, and community connections.
Manitoba MTB survey (Al King) - Incredible data for trail advocacy, bike shops, government support, etc.
Continued social media presence (send us photos and videos!!!), newsletter stories, Trailforks affiliation, and MCA membership.
Continued advocacy for trail access and outdoor funding.
What’s Coming in 2025
Continued work on Nimowin Pits - partnerships and proposal.
Continued partnership and mentorship with other community members/associations.
Follow us on social for announcements, trail developments, riding inspiration, and volunteer calls.
Thank You for Riding With Us
On behalf of the MMBA Board and our entire community: thank you. We volunteer our time because of your passion and your support.
