Asessippi Bike Park

The chairlift and hill at Asessippi Bike Park

The
Trail

Like many ski resorts worldwide, Asessippi Resort has turned its slopes into a downhill mountain bike park to keep recreation going year-round. It is Manitoba's first lift-access bike park and is a stone's throw from the Saskatchewan border. The hand and machine-built network is unique to the area and has been enjoying fanfare from riders who live in the prairies as a great alternative to lengthy road trips.

The dream of creating a true bike park was manifested over 8 years of planning, and in 2018, shovels hit the dirt. With the help of park manager Alex Misanchuk, the park opened in the summer of 2019 and has expanded to offer 19 active runs ranging from Green to Double-Black challenge ratings. True-to-form bike park features like berms, jumps, and drops can be found throughout the network.

Riders can enjoy a weekend on the trails with over 20 campsites available, including access to washrooms and showers. A longer travel enduro or downhill bike will feel most capable here. Still, the park is intended for any rider comfortable with some downhill terrain, regardless of the bike. The park opens for the season on June 12th (tentative), and you can check out Asessippi's website for rates, rentals, and reservations!

Please note that as of 2023, it is unknown if Asessippi will continue to provide mountain biking in the summer.
